BGSU women's basketball outlasts Ball State in overtime thriller

BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team outscored Ball State 13-8 in overtime to come away with an 81-76 Mid-American Conference win on Wednesday at the Stroh Center.

The Falcons remained in contention for a MAC regular season title after improving to 25-4, 14-3 MAC. Ball State fell to 23-7, 13-4.

BGSU’s Lexi Fleming sank 9 of 10 free throws in overtime and finished with 19 points and nine rebounds for BGSU. Elissa Brett had a team-high 20 points with nine boards, Allison Day scored 16, and Jocelyn Tate had 14 points.
