Bowling Green State University put together one of its best defensive efforts in the second half of the season in Saturday’s showdown with Toledo.
Unfortunately for the Falcons, the offense was ice cold.
BGSU shot a season-low 29.4 percent from the floor, was outscored 42-19 over the final 15 minutes, and had a season-worst scoring output in a 62-56 Mid-American Conference women’s basketball loss to the Rockets at Savage Arena.
With a chance to earn a share of the MAC title and the No. 1 seed in this week’s league tournament with a victory, BGSU came up just short in a defensive battle.
