BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Bowling Green women’s basketball suffered a major blow right at the start of Friday’s game at No. 16 Indiana, losing top scorer Lexi Fleming before the Falcons’ shorthanded offense collapsed in an 84-35 loss.
Fleming, who led BGSU with 16.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game entering Friday, went down with apparent left leg injury just over a minute into the first quarter. The Falcons committed an intentional foul to stop the game and get Fleming the attention she needed. The senior from Cincinnati had to be helped off the court.
Fleming missed the 2021-22 season with a torn ACL in her right leg.
