KENT, Ohio — Bowling Green State University’s ability to win high-scoring games and defensive struggles has been solid all season.
The Falcons had to do a little of both on Saturday to secure their 11th victory in a row.
After a shootout with Kent State in the first half, BGSU’s defense came up with huge plays when the offense was struggling early in the fourth quarter. The Falcons found the bottom of the net late and made some key free throws to edge the Golden Flashes 75-69 in a Mid-American Conference game at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.
