MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team finished the final 1:17 of Saturday’s game on a 10-2 run to upend Central Michigan 76-69 in a Mid-American Conference matchup at McGuirk Arena.
The Falcons (11-10, 5-5 MAC) used a 20-9 advantage in the fourth quarter and a 44-27 edge overall in the second half to get the win. BGSU forced 10 of Central Michigan’s 15 turnovers in the final 20 minutes while tying a season low with just nine total turnovers.
Keiryn McGuff’s two free throws with 1:17 remaining gave BGSU a 68-67 lead, and Paige Kohler’s 3-pointer pushed the lead to four with 42 seconds left.
