BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team saw its halftime advantage slip away in an 88-78 loss to Troy as part of the Mid-American Conference-Sun Belt Conference Challenge on Saturday afternoon at the Stroh Center.
Despite the loss, BGSU did have a player make history, as Morgan Sharps tied the school’s single-game record with eight 3-pointers made, finishing the game with 28 points.
The Falcons carried a 40-37 advantage into halftime, and, after a nip-and-tuck third quarter, the Trojans outscored BGSU 28-18 in the fourth to pull away.
