CLEVELAND — For the second time this season, Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team couldn’t hold on to a fourth quarter lead against Buffalo.
The Bulls used a 28-14 advantage in the fourth quarter to knock off the Falcons 65-63 in a Mid-American Conference tournament quarterfinal on Wednesday at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.
Buffalo (25-6), the No. 3 seed in the tournament, advanced to face No. 2 Toledo (23-7) in Friday’s semifinals. BGSU fell to 18-13.
Chellia Watson, who finished with 27 points, hit the game-winning basket with 10.5 seconds left to help the Bulls advance.
