BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team learned late Sunday that it earned one of the 48 bids into the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
This year’s WNIT has a 48-team field, down from 64 following the addition of the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament sponsored by the NCAA.
The WNIT bracket will be released Monday. The Mid-American Conference received two bids, with Buffalo getting the other invitation.
