ATHENS, Ohio — Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team posted season highs in numerous categories in cruising past Ohio 74-53 in a Mid-American Conference game on Wednesday at the Convocation Center.
The Falcons (8-8, 2-3 MAC) tallied a season-best 23 assists on 26 field goals. BGSU’s 12 made 3-pointers were also a season high as the Falcons shot 41 percent from beyond the arc and 49 percent overall.
Wednesday’s victory was BGSU’s first true road win of the season. The Falcons, who were 2-0 in neutral games, had lost their previous seven.
Lexi Fleming scored a team-high 19 points with four rebounds and four assists, while Paige Kohler nearly had a triple-double with 18 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals for the Falcons.
