PITTSBURGH — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team gave its best effort to come back late, but in the end could not recover from a slow start in falling 67-59 on the road to Duquesne on Saturday.
BGSU (6-5) trailed Duquesne (9-2) 40-21 at the half in what was too deep of a hole to climb out of. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Falcons that included wins over Arkansas, Xavier, and Marquette.
The Falcons got 11 fourth-quarter points out of Erika Porter as she helped the visitors get back into the game.
