BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University used a 21-7 run in the first five minutes of the third quarter to pull away from Eastern Michigan 79-63 in a Mid-American Conference women’s basketball game on Saturday at the Stroh Center.
BGSU (12-2, 1-1 MAC), which led by nine at halftime, used a 27-10 advantage in the third quarter to take a 68-42 lead.
Allison Day scored 21 points and Elissa Brett 20 for BGSU, which bounced back from Wednesday’s 81-73 loss at Ball State.
Lachelle Austin had 21 points to front Eastern Michigan (9-4, 1-1).
