BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team took control with a 28-8 third quarter advantage to knock off Memphis 73-60 in the Super 16 of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament on Thursday at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green.
The Falcons improved to 30-6 and will face the winner between Florida and Clemson on a date and location to be determined. The Tigers finished the season 22-11.
Allison Day led five BGSU players in double figures scoring with 18 points. Jamirah Shutes had 13 points to front Memphis.
