WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue outscored the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team by 12 points in the second half to claim an 81-74 victory Saturday at Mackey Arena.
The visiting Falcons (6-5) led 43-38 at halftime. But Purdue (9-3) outscored Bowling Green 20-13 in the third quarter, going on an 11-3 run in the final 4 minutes of the quarter, to take a two-point lead.
Madisen Parker’s 3-pointer with 7:46 to go tied things at 59, and the Falcons’ Kadie Hempfling tied it again at 61 at the 7:06 mark. Purdue, however, took the lead for good with 6:49 to go.
