BGSU women fall short at Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team wrapped up Mid-American Conference regular season play Saturday with a 76-68 loss at Ohio University.

The Falcons (9-20, 2-16 MAC) were tied with the Bobcats (25-4, 14-4) through three quarters. But Ohio, the East Division champion and No. 2 seed for the conference tournament, pulled away in the fourth, going on a 10-0 run.

Amani Burke scored eight of her 17 points for Ohio in the fourth quarter. Cierra Hooks led the Bobcats with 22 points, Erica Johnson had 15 points and eight rebounds, and Gabby Burris added 11 points and six rebounds.
