BGSU women drop MAC basketball contest at Miami (Ohio)

OXFORD, Ohio — Bowling Green State University women’s basketball fell behind by double digits in the first half and never recovered, losing 78-63 at Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.

Despite 23 points from Lexi Fleming, the Falcons (7-8, 1-3 Mid-American Conference) never led other than an early 2-0 advantage. The RedHawks (9-5, 2-2) pulled in front 17-9 by the end of the first quarter and 40-26 at halftime.

Maya Chandler scored a game-high 25 points for Miami while Enjulina Gonzalez and Amber Tretter contributed 17 apiece. Katey Richason joined them in double figures with 10 points off the bench.
