BOWLING GREEN — Petra Indrova, the only all-American in Bowling Green State University volleyball history and the two-time reigning Mid-American Conference player of the year, will miss the upcoming season due to a lower extremity injury sustained at Wednesday’s practice, the school announced on Tuesday.
Indrova, who returned this year for a fifth season at BGSU, suffered the injury when she landed awkwardly after hitting a powerful attack during practice. She had to be carried off the court by coaches and was in noticeable pain immediately after landing.
“We all are heartbroken for Petra, who has done and means so much for our program,” BGSU volleyball coach Danijela Tomic said in a news release.
