BGSU trails Georgia Southern after 3

MOBILE, Ala. — The Bowling Green State University football team leads Georgia Southern 27-23 at halftime of the GoDaddy Bowl.

The Falcons, who led 13-9 after the first quarter, added to their advantage when Gehrig Dieter caught a 51-yard TD pass from Matt Johnson with 11:42 left in the second period.

But the Eagles got back into the game with a 26-yard touchdown run by Wesley Fields with 7:53 on the clock, then took a three-point lead when Kevin Ellison completed a 31-yard pass to Montay Crockett on a fourth-down play with 1:27 left in the half.
