BOWLING GREEN — As freshmen arrive on campus, most college football coaches hope for slivers of promise from each new player in year No. 1.
Noah Massey’s freshman moment just happened to be a little more dramatic than usual.
The Bowling Green wide receiver scored his first collegiate touchdown with precision timing, leaping over a Kent State defensive back, winning the fight for the ball in the air, and deftly landing in the end zone to tie the score deep in the fourth quarter of a nationally televised game.
It was an eyebrow-raising showcase — Massey had only one catch before that night — and now the Falcons are hoping for more in 2019.
