BOWLING GREEN — Shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, the Bowling Green football season officially came to an end.
Now it’s decision time for the school’s senior administration.
Bowling Green, which fired coach Mike Jinks with the season in progress, played the final five games under interim coach Carl Pelini, the defensive coordinator in his first season at BG.
Asked about the future after Friday’s 44-14 loss to Buffalo, Pelini said he hopes to stay at Bowling Green but that the decision is ultimately out of his control.
“That is not my decision, but I’ll say this: Going back — which I always do, I always go back and evaluate myself — I don’t think I would have done anything differently,” Pelini said.
