BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University is selected to win the Western Collegiate Hockey Association title this season in polls of the league’s coaches and of WCHA media released Monday.
Last season, the Falcons had a 22-14-6 overall record, and were third in the WCHA with a 16-7-5 mark.
That’s why BG coach Chris Bergeron cautioned accepting the results of the poll with a grain of salt.
“As far as we’re concerned, we’re still chasing,” Bergeron said.
“Minnesota State and Michigan Tech are the defending regular-season champs, and Ferris State is the defending tournament champion, and we’re chasing those schools.
