BOWLING GREEN — Given the way Bowling Green State University’s pass defense has played this year, Saturday’s performance against a humming Kent State attack wasn’t necessarily a surprise.
It was more of a statement that has continued a solid season-long trend for the Falcons.
BGSU gave up just 78 passing yards and six points in its Mid-American Conference win over the Golden Flashes, who had 739 yards and 68 points in their previous two games. After allowing just 186 yards through the air in its past two games, BGSU has climbed to near the top of the FBS in passing defense.
