BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University has parted ways with hockey coach Ty Eigner after five seasons, The Blade has learned.
An official announcement is expected Monday morning.
Eigner, a former player for BGSU, went 83-81-11 as coach. He spent the previous nine seasons as an assistant coach for the Falcons.
BGSU went 13-22-1 during the 2023-24 season and lost its last six games, including being swept by Michigan Tech in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs over the weekend. It was the Falcons’ worst record since going 10-27-4 in the 2010-11 campaign.
Eigner was placed on administrative leave on Sept.
