BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team advanced to 2-0 at home, picking up an 18-6 win over the Youngstown State Penguins Wednesday (March 22) at Steller Field. The Falcons fell behind early, trailing 6-2, but responded with 16 unanswered runs to go along with six innings of scoreless pitching from the bullpen. The BGSU offense caught fire with a four-run fourth inning, carried it into a six-run fifth inning and capped it off with another four-run inning in the sixth to total 14 runs over just a three inning stretch, propelling the team to the win.
