BOWLING GREEN — A New Jersey basketball standout said Thursday that he will be signing a national letter of intent to join the Bowling Green State University men’s basketball program.
Caleb Fields, a 6-2 guard from Wildwood Catholic High School in Middle Township, N.J., confirmed in a phone conversation that he would join the BG program for the 2018-19 season.
Fields also said he was both surprised and pleased with the interest the Falcons showed in him.
“When [BG assistant] coach [Kevin] Noon and I first talked, he said he had been scouting me in June – and I didn’t even know that,” Fields admitted.
