BGSU men's basketball struggles offensively in home loss to Eastern Michigan

BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team picked a bad time to have one of its worst shooting performances of the season ahead of a brutal stretch in Mid-American Conference play.

The Falcons shot just 34.5 percent overall and 22.7 percent from 3-point range against one of the worst defensive teams in the league in Eastern Michigan. The Eagles held off numerous late BGSU rallies for a 68-62 victory on Saturday at the Stroh Center.

“Obviously, we prepared better than this, and to only score 62 points on 35 percent shooting at home is not acceptable for us,” BGSU coach Todd Simon said.
