BOWLING GREEN — Another top player from the 2024-25 Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team will be looking to take his talents elsewhere.
Javontae Campbell, who earned third-team All-Mid-American Conference honors and was a member of the league’s All-Defensive Team, reportedly entered the transfer portal. The 6-foot-2 junior guard joins Marcus Johnson and Jamai Felt as BGSU players — and starters — to hit the portal since the end of the season.
Campbell averaged 14.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while starting 31 of the 32 games he appeared in for the Falcons. In his first season at the NCAA Division I level, the former junior college All-American set a BGSU record with 90 steals, which ranks among the best in MAC history.
