BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team erased a 14-point deficit early in the second half, but came up just short of pulling out a win as Purdue University Fort Wayne edged the Falcons 77-75 in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament on Wednesday at the Stroh Center.
BGSU finished its season 20-14, while Fort Wayne (22-12) advanced to the CIT semifinals.
With the Falcons trailing by two after the Mastodons’ Eric Mulder scored with 18 seconds left, Jason Spurgin missed a 3-pointer and Marcus Hill a putback in the final seconds for BGSU.
Hill finished with a game-high 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting and made 9 of 11 free throws.
