BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team dropped its third straight game and sixth out of its past eight with an 86-78 Mid-American Conference loss to Northern Illinois on Saturday at the Stroh Center.
The Falcons fell to 10-13 (4-6 MAC), while the Huskies improved to 10-13 (6-4) with their fifth win in the past six games.
Chandler Turner had 21 points to lead BGSU, while Leon Ayers III pumped in 20.
David Coit had 21 points, including three big 3-pointers late in the game to keep Northern Illinois in the lead after BGSU trimmed its deficit to three.
