BOWLING GREEN — During the toughest stretch of his short tenure as Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball coach, Todd Simon noticed something that spoke volumes about his team.
The mindset and demeanor of his program, even during a brutal span recently in Mid-American Conference play, was in the right place.
“If you watch practice — other than there’s not a lot of bodies sometimes out there — the energy and effort is dialed in,” the second-year BGSU mentor said. “They’re dialed into the scouting report, probably more than a lot of years that I’ve been doing this.
