BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball program has taken a lot of positive steps so far in Todd Simon’s first year coaching the Falcons.
One of the most important ones, without question, was getting back to Cleveland.
For the first time since the 2020-21 campaign, BGSU will be competing in the Mid-American Conference tournament. The Falcons (19-12, 10-8 MAC), who earned the No. 5 seed, will square off with No. 4 Central Michigan (18-13, 12-6) in the quarterfinals at approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
“Our staff has done an unbelievable job, our players have done an unbelievable job with what we’ve had to overcome behind the scenes, even from day one until now, not even including the fact that there’s 10 new players and all these things that we talk about,” Simon said.
