BOWLING GREEN — The beginning of the second half Saturday saw Bowling Green play its best basketball of the young season, and it is no coincidence that an avalanche of Falcons points followed BG's strongest stretch of defense.
The Falcons turned a two-point game at halftime into a runaway in a matter of minutes by starting the second half with 21 straight points, eventually easing to a 101-78 victory against South Carolina State at the Stroh Center.
Twelve Falcons scored and five finished in double figures as the Falcons (1-1) earned their first victory of the season.
