BOWLING GREEN — In a game full of stops and starts offensively, Bowling Green picked a bad time to go cold.
After the Falcons made a pair of free throws to take a two-point lead with 9:36 remaining, they scored seven points in the next eight minutes — and visiting Akron took full advantage in a 69-57 victory Tuesday at the Stroh Center.
Bowling Green (10-4, 6-2 Mid-American Conference) shot just 33 percent from the field, set a season low for points, and dropped back-to-back home games for the first time since 2018.
The Falcons made just five field goals in the final 10 minutes of the game as Akron outscored them 26-12 to end the game.
