BEMIDJI, Minn. — For a second straight night in Minnesota, Bowling Green State University hockey came up just short in Central Collegiate Hockey Association action.
After suffering a 3-2 loss to Bemidji State in regulation Friday, the Falcons had victory stripped from them Saturday when the Beavers notched a tying goal with 10 seconds left in the third period, then Adam St. Flammang converted the game-winner in overtime for a 2-1 come-from-behind win at the Sanford Center.
BGSU (15-12-4, 11-9-4 CCHA) all but had the win in hand until, with time winding down in the third and an extra attacker in play, Bemidji’s Jackson Jutting scored for the 11th time this season, tying the game at 1 and sending play into overtime.
