MANKATO, Minn. — The Bowling Green State University hockey team once again had a tough time solving Minnesota State goalie Dryden McKay as the Falcons lost 5-1 on Saturday.
The No. 6 Mavericks topped the No. 8 Falcons 4-0 on Friday and backed that up with another strong performance on Saturday.
Three second-period goals helped Minnesota State and Bowling Green had little answer for McKay who swept aside 20 of Bowling Green’s 21 shots on goal after denying them 30 times on Friday.
Minnesota State got on the board in the first period when Shane McMahan scored 4:56 into the game.
