MARQUETTE, Mich. — The 14th-ranked Bowling Green State University hockey team split its weekend series at Northern Michigan, defeating the Wildcats 6-2 in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest.
Brandon Kruse recorded his 100th career assist in the game. Kruse is the 21st player in BGSU history to reach that mark, the first since Kelly Perrault during the 1996-97 season.
Will Cullen’s goal off a Connor Ford assist gave the Falcons a 3-2 lead in the second period. BG put it away in the third period, with Ford scoring short-handed prior to goals from Evan Dougherty and Taylor Schneider.
