BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University hockey team’s series last weekend didn’t go as planned.
Despite the 9-2 and 3-5 defeats at No. 3-ranked Minnesota, there was one bright spot that doubled as a continuation of a recent trend early in Central Collegiate Hockey Association play.
The power play is clicking.
Bowling Green went 1-for-3 in the first game and then 3-for-5 in the second game against Minnesota State.
“Saturday, as we were trying to get back into the game, our power play was what got us into it,” Bowling Green coach Ty Eigner said.
