COLUMBUS — Things seemed to be going well for Bowling Green State University’s hockey team early on as it held a 1-0 lead after the first period.
However, four second-period goals by Ohio State propelled the Buckeyes to a 6-2 win over the Falcons at Value City Arena on Friday night.
BGSU dropped to 7-14 on the season, while Ohio State moved to 7-8-4.
The Falcons led 1-0 at the end of the first period thanks to Ben Wozney’s goal assisted by Ryan O’Hara and Eric Parker with 3:16 left in the period. It was just the second goal of the season for Wozney.
