BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s hockey team salvaged a point in its weekend Central Collegiate Hockey Association series against Michigan Tech with a 2-0 shootout win on Saturday at Slater Family Ice Arena.
Brody Waters and Brett Pfoh converted their shootout opportunities against Michigan Tech goaltender Derek Mullahy, while BGSU’s Cole Moore stopped a pair of shots from Rylan Brown and Stiven Sardarian to secure the CCHA point for the Falcons (5-5-2, 2-2-2 CCHA). Michigan Tech moved to 7-4-1 (5-2-1).
Michigan Tech scored two goals in a 22-second span in the third period to tie the game at 2-2.
