BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s hockey team has had quite a few close losses recently in a tough stretch to end the regular season.
But the Falcons still have plenty of confidence entering the Central Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.
Despite posting a 1-5-2 record in its last eight games, No. 3-seed BGSU (15-17-2, 12-12-2 CCHA) has a positive mindset entering its first-round matchup against No. 6 seed Ferris State (12-18-4, 9-14-3). The best-of-three series will begin on Friday night and take place at Slater Family Ice Arena, with the winner advancing to next weekend’s CCHA semifinals.
