BOWLING GREEN — On Jan. 18 Bowling Green State University hockey moved in to the Top 5 of the USCHO’s Top 20 poll; the Falcons highest ranking on the list since at least the 2006-2007 season.
It was after a sweep of Northern Michigan that the Falcons were considered not only a Top 5 team, but a national contender.
Then, the Wildcats got their revenge. Northern Michigan knocked out BG in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association quarterfinals, 5-1.
With the loss the Falcons (20-10-1) hope to receive an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats will go on to face the No.
