The Falcons dealt the visiting Mavericks, who entered the night in fourth place in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, their first loss since Dec. 15. BGSU snapped its own four-game regular season losing streak, winning for the first time since Dec. 9.
Minnesota State opened the scoring with a goal by Sam Morton at the 6:53 mark of the first period, and Jaden Grant tied it for BG before the first intermission.
