Bowling Green State University introduced Ty Eigner as its next head coach Tuesday afternoon. Here is a look at his path to the top spot on the BGSU bench.
1988-1993
Eigner, a defenseman, played four seasons and 123 games for BGSU. He served as team captain and helped the Falcons reach the 1990 NCAA tournament.
1993-1996
Eigner played in 164 combined professional games in the CHL (Fort Worth Fire, Tulsa Oilers, Wichita Thunder) and the ECHL (Birmingham Bulls, Huntington Blizzard).
1996-1999
He served as head coach at Rosemont High School in Minnesota, earning the Section 5AA coach of the year award for the 1997-98 season.
