BOWLING GREEN — The football program at Bowling Green State University has hired Nik Valdiserri to be its new director of player personnel and recruiting coordinator.
Bowling Green confirmed the new hire Monday.
Valdiserri, an Illinois native, previously spent three years working with the player personnel department on Brian Kelly's staff at the University of Notre Dame.
With the Fighting Irish, Valdiserri aided with the program's recruiting department, and now will oversee the efforts for a Bowling Green program that signed the second-ranked class in the Mid-American Conference earlier this year.
A graduate of Notre Dame, Validserri will step into the role vacated by Derek Miller, who became the Falcons' director of football operations after the Miami Dolphins hired Olivia Passy as a scout.
