BGSU gives No. 2 Michigan a scare in 1st half before Wolverines pull away for win

ANN ARBOR — Bowling Green State University’s football team gave No. 2 Michigan a scare in the first half, but the Wolverines scored 10 points early in the third quarter off two Falcons’ turnovers en route to a 31-6 win on Saturday at Michigan Stadium.

BGSU (1-2) forced three turnovers in the first half in trailing 14-6 at the break.

Michigan, though, forced third-string Falcons’ redshirt freshman quarterback Hayden Timosciek into a pair of turnovers deep in BGSU territory to break the game open within the first five minutes of the third.
