Evanston, Ill. – The Bowling Green State University football program has completed its 2017 non-conference schedule, agreeing to play at Northwestern University Sept. 16, 2017.
The three-time defending Mid-American Conference East champions, Bowling Green has defeated three Big Ten programs in the past two years. BGSU faces Ohio State to open the 2016 season Sept. 3 and will play back-to-back games at Michigan State and Northwestern in 2017.
The Falcons are 2-0 all-time against Northwestern with the most-recent meeting coming in the 2003 Motor City Bowl at Detroit's Ford Field, a 28-24 BGSU win. In that game, MVP Josh Harris was 38-of-50 for 386 yards and three touchdowns as BGSU scored the winning touchdown with less than five minutes remaining.
