BGSU football solid in 27-6 MAC victory over Kent State

BOWLING GREEN — The passing game on both sides of the ball made a huge difference for Bowling Green State University’s football team on Saturday.

Quarterback Connor Bazelak was outstanding on offense, and the Falcons were just as excellent on defense.

Bazelak threw for 313 yards while completing 23 of 27 passes, and BGSU’s defense limited a red-hot Kent State passing attack to just 78 yards as the Falcons picked up a 27-6 Mid-American Conference victory at Doyt Perry Stadium.

“I thought the defensive line played well, and I thought [cornerback] Jordan Oladokun and the rest of the secondary did a nice job,” BGSU coach Scot Loeffler said.
