KENT, Ohio — Scot Loeffler’s post-game celebration with a small group of Bowling Green State University students in the stands when they fell backward after he threw an imaginary bowling ball perfectly summed up an exciting night for the Falcons.
For the second-straight season, BGSU is bowl eligible.
The Falcons racked up nearly 500 yards of offense, scored touchdowns off a pair of Kent State turnovers, and had big plays on special teams as they cruised past the Golden Flashes 49-19 in a Mid-American Conference football game on Wednesday at Dix Stadium.
“It’s great. Want another opportunity to play, want another month to be around these guys,” said Loeffler, who is in his fifth year as BGSU’s coach.
