BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s football team had some positives to take away from last Saturday night’s loss at No. 2 Michigan in front of nearly 110,000 fans in “The Big House.”

With the Falcons (1-2) set to face three of the Mid-American Conference’s top signal-callers in Ohio’s Kurtis Rourke, Miami’s Brett Gabbert, and Buffalo’s Cole Snyder over the next four games, BGSU will be looking to build off a solid outing in which McCarthy threw a career-high three interceptions and was sacked for the first time this season — a 13-yard loss on senior linebacker Darren Anders’ tackle in the backfield.
