BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University is wasting little time getting ready for the 2023 football season.
The Falcons opened spring practice Monday morning – around two months earlier in the calendar year than usual – with position-specific drills, fundamentals, and 11-on-11 scenarios at Perry Field House. Fifth-year BGSU head coach Scot Loeffler said he was excited to get going after the Falcons ended the 2022 campaign with a 24-19 loss to New Mexico State in the Quick Lane Bowl, their first bowl game since 2015.
“Overall, happy with the group, but it’s day one. We’ve got a ton of learning, and that’s really why we’re doing spring football as early as we are,” Loeffler said.
