Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green's 2021 football season opener at the University of Tennessee has been moved to accommodate a national television opportunity. The Falcons will open head coach Scot Loeffler's third campaign leading the Orange and Brown on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 8:00 pm.

The game will be televised nationally on SEC Network as the Falcons and Volunteers face each other for the first time since 2015. That contest was a wild 59-30 win for then-No. 25 Tennessee in which BGSU rallied from a 21-3 deficit with 17 consecutive points and still trailed just 35-27 midway through the third quarter.
